Terms of service

1. Who we are

DomainSpace is operated by Studio 404 d.o.o., Gradišče 15c, 1360 Vrhnika, Slovenia, VAT ID: SI42531357 ("we", "us"). We resell .si domain names and provide DNS management for them. We are an independent reseller: we are not the .si registry and are not affiliated with it. The registry is Register.si, operated by ARNES (the Academic and Research Network of Slovenia).

We register domains through the registrar platform Openprovider.

2. What you buy

Each purchase is the registration of one .si domain name for one year on your behalf, with you as the registrant (domain holder), plus a DNS zone and a dashboard in which you can manage DNS records. A domain name is not sold to you outright: you hold a right of use for the registration period under the registry's rules.

The registry's general terms apply to you as domain holder: https://www.register.si/en/general-terms/

3. Who can order, and registrant data

You must be able to enter into contracts under the law that applies to you, or act with authority for the company you register for. You do not need to live in or be established in Slovenia.

You must give accurate, complete and current registrant data and keep it up to date. The registry's terms require this, and a domain registered with false data can be suspended or deleted by the registry without refund.

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secret.

4. Orders, prices and payment

Prices are in euro and include VAT. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

Payment is taken by card through Stripe. A name is held for you for up to 30 minutes while you pay. Availability is checked when you search and when you check out, but a name is only registered once payment has been received and the registry has accepted the registration.

If your payment is received but we cannot register the domain (for example because it was registered by someone else in the meantime), we will refund the full amount you paid to the card you paid with; we do this automatically and send you an email. The same applies to a renewal we cannot carry out.

5. Right of withdrawal for consumers

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason.

Registering a domain is a service. At checkout we ask you to confirm that you want the registration to be performed immediately after payment and that you understand you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. We record this confirmation with your order. If you give it, the right of withdrawal ends when the domain has been registered. Until then you may still withdraw by contacting us.

This does not affect any rights you have by law that cannot be excluded.

6. Duration, renewal and expiry

A registration lasts one year from the registration date. It does not renew automatically. You are responsible for renewing before the expiry date shown in your dashboard. You can renew for one year at a time in the dashboard from 90 days before expiry; once a domain has expired, contact us. We send reminder emails about 30 and 7 days before expiry to the email address of your account, but we are not liable if one does not reach you.

Under the registry's rules, a domain that is not renewed enters a quarantine period of up to 30 days and is then deleted. After deletion the name may be registered by someone else. A restore during quarantine may incur a fee.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use a domain for anything unlawful, to infringe the rights of others (including trade marks), or to distribute malware or send spam.

Disputes about domain names can be brought before the registry's alternative dispute resolution (ARDS) or the courts. We will comply with binding decisions of the registry, authorities and courts, which can include suspending, transferring or deleting a domain.

8. Availability of the service

We aim to keep the website and the DNS editor available but do not promise uninterrupted service. DNS records are hosted by our registrar platform; outages there are outside our control.

9. Liability

We are liable without limit where the law does not allow a limit, including for intent, gross negligence and, towards consumers, for anything that cannot be excluded by law.

Otherwise, our liability for a claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits.

10. Changes and governing law

We may change these terms for future orders; the version in force when you order applies to that order.

Slovenian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. For business customers, the courts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, have jurisdiction.
