Your domain
How do I use my domain's email with Gmail?
Receive in Gmail with forwarding; to send from your domain address you need a real mailbox.
Receiving. Set up forwarding (see "Can I get email on my domain for free?") with your Gmail address as the destination. Mail to hello@yourdomain then arrives in your Gmail inbox. Check the Spam folder the first time and mark messages as "not spam".
Replying. Gmail can only send as hello@yourdomain through the SMTP server of a real mailbox on that domain. Forwarding alone does not include one, so replies would go out from your @gmail.com address. The website package includes a real mailbox: in Gmail open Settings > Accounts > "Send mail as" > "Add another email address", and enter the SMTP settings shown in the dashboard of the website.
If you need a full mailbox service for a domain without the website package, use "Use Google Workspace instead" in the Email card of the domain.
