What happens when my domain expires?
We remind you by email; after expiry you can still renew for 28 days.
- Reminders: we email you 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before expiry, on the day it expires, and again after expiry while it can still be renewed.
- Renew early: renewal opens 90 days before expiry in your dashboard. The new period is added to your current expiry date, so you lose nothing.
- After expiry: the domain stops working. We still offer renewal for 28 days after the expiry date. Under the registry's rules an unrenewed domain stays in quarantine for up to 30 days and is then deleted and can be registered by anyone.
- Restore guarantee: if a renewal slips in your first term (the missed expiry is at most 12 months after registration), we cover any registry restore fee, once per domain. You pay only the normal renewal price (€29). After that, a restore fee charged by the registrar may apply; if we cannot name the exact fee, contact support before the last day and we will sort it out.
